Style & Quality
Christine's creative process always starts with lots of design research and sketches. We're always on the lookout for what's trending in design, but we like to focus on classic and timeless design. We only work with quality products when creating and making our invitations and prints. Archival quality paper and inks are used in the printing process, and all of our fabric and thread selections are carefully researched and tested for both beauty and quality.
LaFabère works within varying budgets, and we know which suppliers to consult to achieve the look you're after and to make your project the most beautiful and customized piece that will wow your guests and adorn your home.
All of the textures used in LaFabère designs are created by hand by Christine. Using acrylic paints, watercolour, fabric, ribbon, and an archival quality printer, each design is crafted to be beautiful, meaningful and unique for each couple. All of our prints and invitations have a hand made touch, with a sewn on paper flag or fabric ribbon, a hand painted texture, or original hand painted brushstrokes on each piece. See some of the beautiful pieces we've created for lovely couples in the past.
About the Maker
Christine is the designer and maker behind all LaFabère paper goods. Based out of Ottawa, she is a lover of all things art & design, and incorporates textures from her paintings into her paper products. She has many years of experience as a designer, illustrator and artist, and has recently picked up her camera and is falling in love with photography (follow along on Instagram @christinebreton). She has been creating since she was a child, and fell in love with all things wedding related when she planned and designed her own wedding. She has since designed many wedding invitation suites for Ottawa brides and grooms, as well as for prominent wedding planners such as The Design Co., Toast Events, just to name a few.
Story behind the LaFabère name
Faber means artisan and maker in Latin. Christine's maiden name is Lefebvre, a variation of Faber, or LaFabère. So... the name was kind of meant to be.
